Putting Your Oxygen Mask on First
Dozens of nonprofits are breathing life into Springfield’s distressed communities. If you are one of those organizations we applaud your work! We also hope you are putting your oxygen mask on first.
If your mission is focused on helping others, you might forget to take care of yourself. We want to help! The Springfield Metropolitan Bar Foundation is hosting a workshop to strengthen organizations that are working to improve the living conditions and lives of people living in Springfield’s Zone One.
The Lawyer is in: Legal Wellness for Nonprofits
The Lawyer is in: Legal Wellness for Nonprofits workshop will promote legal fitness and demystify issues involved with governance, employment and tax compliance.
The workshop will consist of one hour of instruction followed by the opportunity to consult individually with volunteer lawyers. The intended audience is nonprofits with limited staff, modest budgets and those without ready access to legal expertise.
If your organization needs some legal fitness and works to support the people in Springfield’s Zone One, we hope you will take advantage of this great program.
Register promptly, space is limited!
Registration is limited to 20 organizations and 40 participants. It is recommended that each organization send one staff member and one officer (ex: executive director and board president.)
This workshop is hosted by the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Foundation as part of The 1217 Project.
