Rod Widger retired from the law firm of Andereck, Evans, Widger, Lewis, & Figg at the end of 2017. Widger was the senior partner in the Springfield office, and managing partner of the firm, with offices in four Missouri cities. Prior to attending law school Widger served in the United States Army for six years. He practiced law with the firm throughout his career, beginning in 1983. He will continue to act in a limited of-counsel role to ensure a smooth transition for his clients and to assist with special projects.

Widger distinguished himself as the leading resource in the state in his highly specialized practice with Missouri Rural Electric Cooperatives. The national Electric Cooperative Bar Association recognized his depth of knowledge, appointing him as Missouri state liaison to the organization for over a decade.

Widger graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1983. He holds a bachelor's degree from Westminster College. He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Electric Cooperative Bar Association, and the SMBA.
