      licensed Missouri attorneys interested in serving as Guardian ad

      Litem (GAL) and/or Indigent Parent Counsel in abuse and neglect

      matters before the Family Court, Juvenile Division for calendar year

      2026 (January 1–December 31). Appointments are made by the Court and

      continue for the life of the case unless otherwise relieved.

      Attorneys must comply with applicable Missouri statutes, Supreme

      Court Rules, and Local Rules governing juvenile practice.

      Compensation is $100 per month per active case, with an anticipated

      caseload generally under 20 active matters. GAL cases are counted per

      child; parent representation is counted per parent. Attorneys serve

      as independent contractors. Interested counsel should submit a

      resume, Missouri Bar number (confirming good standing), and a brief

      statement of interest indicating whether they wish to serve as GAL,

      Parent Counsel, or both, to Bill Prince, Family Court

      Administrator/Chief Juvenile Officer, Greene County Juvenile Office,

      1111 N. Robberson, Springfield, MO 65802.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of law and legal concepts
• Experience conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
• Experience preparing for and attending court appearances and depositions
• Experience writing motions and briefs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the Missouri Bar or eligible for admission
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal research databases
