Supreme Court of Missouri Chief Justice Mary R. Russell has named two SMBA members as recipients of the 2014 Chief Justice Awards. The awards recognize judicial civics, judicial excellence at the associate circuit, circuit and appellate levels, access to justice and a jurist’s efforts to improve the public trust and confidence in the courts. The Honorable Gary Lynch, Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District will receive the Appellate Judicial Excellence Award, and The Honorable Douglas Gaston of the 25th Circuit, Texas County will receive the Judicial Civic Award. The awards will be presented at the Judicial Conference Recognition Breakfast on Thursday, September 11, in Kansas City.
