Death & Dying Series
Wednesday, April 13, 2016
Coming this fall,
Join the Library and community partners in October for Death & Dying: Conversations on End-of-Life Matters.
They aren’t easy conversations to have, but the programs in this series will help provide a foundation for talking with your loved ones about end-of-life matters. Let’s put aside the taboo of talking about death and start having these conversations before you’re put in the position to make end-of-life decisions for yourself or a loved one.
The two week series starts mid-October and will include presentations with area experts along with special events featuring these nationally known authors:
Dr. Angelo Volandes
7 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Springfield Art Museum
Caitlin Doughty
6 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Library Center
Thomas Lynch
7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Library Center
Roz Chast
7 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Library Center
Look for the complete schedule of programs in the fall issue of Bookends.
Funding for this series was provided by a grant from the Hospice Foundation of the Ozarks with additional support from the Library Foundation.
