Constitution Day!

Saturday, September 17, 2016

Established by federal law in 2004, Constitution Day is observed annually on or around September 17. The date marks the anniversary of the close of the Constitutional Convention in 1787.  Officially beginning 116 days prior, the delegates convened for the final time to put pen to paper and create our system of government. Thirty-nine Founding Fathers signed a document and sealed the framework for our way of life.  Constitution Day was established to promote public education and understanding. Here are some resources you can use to spread the word, brush up or just enjoy!
