Family Court Commissioner Named

Today, the 31st Circuit Court en Banc announced the selection of the new commissioner for the family court division.

In announcing the selection, Presiding Judge Michael Cordonnier said "The Court is pleased to advise that after a through and deliberate process that included many excellent applicants, Attorney Mark Millsap has accepted our offer to become a Commissioner of the Family Court.  Mr. Millsap is very experienced in practicing in the family courts in Greene County and in the Court of Appeals.  The Court has every confidence Mr. Millsap will be an outstanding addition to the bench, and will serve the citizens of our community with skill, compassion and integrity."

Millsap comes to the bench from private practice at the Springfield firm Baird, Lightner and Millsap, P.C. and will fill the vacancy created by the January 31, 2021 retirement of Commissioner Jeffrey Marquardt.
