Judge Holden Retirement

Judge Calvin Holden recently tendered his letter of retirement to Supreme Court of Missouri Chief Judge Paul Wilson. Judge Holden is a graduate of Missouri State University and Drake University Law School. He practiced law from 1980 until his election as circuit judge in 1996 making him one of the longest-serving judges currently on the 31st circuit bench. "Judge Holden's long career has allowed him to handle everything from criminal, civil, juvenile, and treatment court cases. His early work in then-called “Drug Court” laid much of the groundwork for what is now Greene County's successful Treatment Court Programs” said Presiding Judge Michael Cordonnier. In his letter to Chief Justice Wilson Judge Holden said “I have enjoyed my over 27 years as a judicial official for the State of Missouri. The beginning and growth of the treatment courts have been one of pride in my career.” His retirement is effective July 31, 2022.
