Circuit Clerk’s Office e-Filing Change

The Circuit Clerk’s Office has made a change to the e-Filing acceptance
process. Clerks are no longer permitted to make changes in submitted
e-Filed docket codes or text. If a potential error is noted, the clerk
will use the following docket text: “accepted as filed”. This change was
made in response to Remote Public Access requirements and the prediction of
“automatic acceptance of filings within a year” during Judge Bates
presentation at the June SMBA Luncheon.
