Kurt Larson - Candidate for 31st Circuit Judicial Commission

The ballots for the 31st Circuit Judicial Commission election will be sent out soon and I am again running for a full term as one of the two lawyer-commissioners.   I am currently serving the balance of an unexpired partial term.  

The Missouri Plan was put to the test over the last year, with the near wholesale replacement of the Greene County circuit court and associate circuit seats.  I am honored to have served our profession on the 31^st Judicial Commission during this historical transition.   Our Commission has moved with extraordinary diligence and efficiency to fill ten vacancies with well-qualified lawyers.  That efficiency ensured that the wheels of justice in Greene County did not slacken speed, and that maximum opportunity for institutional knowledge of retiring judges could be shared with the new judges before vacancies occurred.   I understand the importance of a fair judiciary and the Nonpartisan Court Plan, and with your support I ask that you allow me the privilege to continue to serve our profession and our community in this capacity.
