Certain civil case information on public Case.net is confidential effective
November 8, 2023
Effective Wednesday, November 8, 2023, certain civil case information will
be confidential on public Case.net as required by Section 509.520, RSMo.
This applies to entries on civil cases as of August 28, 2023, or later. The
information will include but is not limited to name, address, and date of
birth of minor or next friend and does not apply to probate, treatment,
juvenile, criminal, municipal or traffic cases. Public Case.net will
mask/hide the minor or next friend information for any civil case with one
of the following party types:
MIN - Minor
PETM -Minor Plaintiff/Petitioner
RESM -Minor Respondent/Defendant
NOF - Next Friend
NOFP -Next Friend Acting Pro Se
MVIC - Minor Victim
MINC - Minor Incapacitated
When viewed on public Case.net, the case ID will display with the style of
case, which will read "Section 509.520, RSMo Information" in place of the
litigant's name.
NOTE: Child party types still will not display on public Case.net as
before. Court users or attorneys who are logged in to Case.net will see the
full information without any of the masking used for public Case.net.
In addition, the following information will be masked/hidden on public
Case.net:
Parties and Attorneys tab:
Will display the party type description only for the parties and not
the names.
Will not display the addresses for the parties.
The full date of birth for the party types will not display; however,
the year of birth for NOF party types will display when available.
Docket Entries tab:
If the Filed By field contains one of these parties, it will be
replaced by the party type description.
If the Filed on Behalf Of field contains one of these parties, it
will be replaced by the party type description.
Service Information tab:
If the Served To field contains one of these parties, it will be
replaced by the party type description.
Civil Judgments tab:
If the Judgment For and Judgment Against fields contain one of these
parties, it will be replaced by the party type description.
Garnishments/Execution tab:
The debtor name will display the party type description only for the
parties and not their names.
