Game One SMBA Wiffle Ball!

The first game in the SMBA Wiffle Ball League happened April 11 in a competitive match between the Greene County Prosecutor “Dragon Slayers” and Kutak Rock.  

Kutak won the coin flip and took the field.  First at the plate for the Dragon Slayers was Captain Zach McFarland who hit a double right off the bat.  Interspersed with a couple of outs Kim Pulley and Dan Patterson hit doubles giving the Dragon Slayers two runs in the first inning.  Kutak quickly matched that score with Captain Taylor White hitting a home run with teammate Joseph Reid on first. 

McFarland led the top of the second with a triple, but alas never made it home when Pulley’s pop fly was caught by Kutak pitcher Joseph Reid.  Kutak’s at bat was book ended by two Taylor White triples and the inning ended with a nice hit by Tori Faulkner caught by outfielder Dan Patterson, leaving Kutak with a one point lead.

Shout out to Chris Lebeck’s double for the prosecutors and Faulkner’s single for Kutak in the third inning and Jacqueline Ledezma-Ruelas exciting pop fly. 

The fourth and fifth innings were fast and scoreless with Kutak winning the game and a final score of 3-2.
